Frequently asked questions
Where is Blue Peak Detail Co. located?
Blue Peak Detail Co. serves Louisville, KY and surrounding communities throughout Jefferson, Shelby, Oldham, Bullitt, and Spencer counties. Services are performed at our detailing location.
Are you a mobile detailing service?
No. Blue Peak Detail Co. currently operates from a detailing location, and customers drop their vehicles off for service.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All services are by appointment so each vehicle gets the proper time and attention. Blue Peak is drop-off only — you leave the vehicle at the detailing location, and exact drop-off instructions are sent once your appointment is confirmed.
How long does a detail take?
A Maintenance Detail runs about 1 hr 30 min, an Exterior Detail about 2 hr, an Interior Detail about 3 hr and a Complete Detail about 5 hr. One-Step Paint Enhancement is about 4 hr and a Ceramic Coating about 8 hr. Vehicle size, condition and any add-ons change the estimate, and the appointment blocks out the full time.
How does vehicle size affect the price?
Listed prices are the starting price for a sedan. A small SUV / crossover or a truck / large SUV takes more time and more product, so both the price and the estimated time go up with the vehicle type you select when you book. Condition matters too — pet hair, stains, sand or excessive dirt can add work. Any additional charge is discussed before work begins.
Does pet hair, heavy staining or excessive dirt cost extra?
It can. Heavy pet hair, stains, sand, mud, excessive debris and heavily soiled interiors often require significantly more time. Additional charges are based on the condition of the vehicle and are always discussed before the service begins.
What is the difference between a Complete Detail and a Maintenance Detail?
A Complete Detail is the full service: everything in the Interior Detail and the Exterior Detail, plus an engine bay wipe-down, door jambs and a final quality check. A Maintenance Detail is a lighter refresh — exterior wash, interior vacuum, windows and tire dressing — meant to keep a vehicle we have already detailed looking its best between full details.
What is a One-Step Paint Enhancement?
A single-stage machine polish designed to improve gloss and clarity and reduce minor swirls and surface imperfections. It is a good option for a vehicle that needs a noticeable improvement without a full paint correction. It is quoted per vehicle after an inspection.
What is a Ceramic Coating?
Long-term paint protection that enhances gloss, improves how water behaves on the paint and increases resistance to environmental contamination. It includes full paint decontamination and prep, and is applied only after the paint is properly prepared. Quoted per vehicle.
How is professional detailing different from a car wash?
A basic car wash mainly removes surface dirt. Detailing goes much further: thorough cleaning of interior and exterior surfaces, hard-to-reach areas and contamination, proper care for wheels and tires, and protection applied to help preserve the vehicle’s appearance.
What types of vehicles do you detail?
Cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers, daily drivers, luxury vehicles and enthusiast vehicles.
Do you offer engine bay cleaning?
Yes. Engine bay detailing is available as an additional service and includes careful cleaning of appropriate surfaces to remove dirt, dust, and grime.
Can I request a quote before booking?
Yes. If you are not sure which service your vehicle needs, or it has heavy staining, pet hair, excessive dirt or any other special concern, use Request a Quote and include the details of the vehicle.
